No one knows exactly when Yoga started, but it certainly predates written history. Stone carvings depicting figures in Yoga positions have been found in archeological sites dating back about 5,000 years or more.

Jamie TancrediYoga is the physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which aid in the connection of body, mind and breath. The term yoga is derived from the literal meaning of “yoking together” of mind and body. It is in this natural unfolding process of becoming more truly who we are and whom we have always been.

Reclaim the space in your life to breath deeply, move effortlessly and live harmoniously. Through the practice of Yoga we begin to slow ourselves down, reduce stress, detox more fully, have more energy and generally feel better.

Jamie TancrediThough stretching and moving our bodies in unison with the breath we awaken to our inner vibrancy while releasing tension and the stress. B.K.S Iyengar says “Yoga cures us of that which we need no longer endure and teaches us to endure that which we cannot cure.” With the guidance of the breath (prana) we begin to shake loose the bonds of the stories we have attached ourselves to and create a a greater freedom available. We liberate ourselves from all that we once falsely identified with and begin to breathe in a new reality of Truth. We begin to realize, to remember grounded in our connection to the breath, moving gracefully through all things, including us.

PranaJamie Tancredi (breath, life-force) is our connection with all beings, it is the sum total of all the energy that moves through the universe. All things that vibrate contain prana; electricity, heat, plants, animals, humans and even more simply, matter. Through the wind of the body we breathe prana in deeply, we feel ourselves becoming more vibrant, radiant and clear. When our breath becomes fluid and rhythmic, we taste the nectar that is the Divine in all things. We begin to realize, to remember, grounded in our connection to the breath moving gracefully through all things including us that, only one exists.

“When you inhale, you are taking the strength from God. When you exhale, it represents the service you are giving to the world.” Bks Iyengar
